I watched the clip and searched a little more and found an article concerning Al-Manar's style of programming and why they do it.
Much of the programming is focused on the younger generations, seeding the continuation of future divisions between Israel and Palestine.
One part of this article spoke about how they portray the border wall to the Berlin Wall:
"One frequently shown video clip shows a Palestinian youth spray-painting the following message on the separation fence: 'It is not stronger than the Berlin Wall and will not resist Palestine's heroes.' The youth then proceeds to pick up and throw rocks."
Using cartoon characters and relating situations to powerful events in history, like the Berlin Wall, provides some very potent propaganda especially to those that are uneducated with the facts of the world and their situation.
When I watched both of those videos, I thought of that little girl hosting the show, especially in the second one, where Assud asked her who will take her place WHEN she is martyred. Not IF. I think it's terrible that they are raising these kids to think that they must give up their lives. The whole video was focused on dying for Allah. It is difficult to fight people that are indoctrinating their children when so much of our country is divided. Our children are being taught in school to end the war and leave everything well alone. In the Middle East, kids are being taught to kill everyone standing in their way--including the U.S. How do we combat that?
