I've never realized what happened to suicide bombers' bodies after the attacks.
This is an interesting article that explains it. If you read it, notice what the mullahs says about killing oneself and others. The article discusses the debate over this.

The thing I find most interesting about this article is the different interpretations one finds across Islam regarding suicide bombing. Some regard it as suicide, others as martyrdom applauded by Allah. Perhaps it should not be that surprising. Much of the same argumentation occurs among Christian groups in the US over what verses in the Bible mean, albeit with much less deadly results. However, since Islam has no central authority, there is no one to settle the issue. The question then becomes, how to win over society's potential suicide bombers and not let them be influenced by radical Islam. What do you guys think the approach should be? I personally believe that some combination of what they want (the US to pull out of the Middle East) and what we want (to give them McDonald's and other Western ideals) is probably best.
I wish more potential suicide bombers could see how they are pushed under the rug after their demise. I would think knowing that few respect you for it would be a detriment and inhibitor to doing it.
